Nissan Leaf “Global launch”

Involvement: On-set Supervision, 3D Generalist. Compositing

For the global launch of the new Nissan Leaf, Cadre were brought in by Imagination to create full CG city backdrops and handle VFX for the job. This was a large job with a tight turn around and a 90 second final delivery.

As well as my usual roles I did on set supervision in Japan, which had me a little nervous at first but was a rewarding experience. With rehearsal and three days of shooting, the crew, dancers and all involved put in a huge effort. Which was only the first half the job as we still needed to create and finish all the 3d extensions and compositing!

Behind The Scenes breakdowns

A short video showing the work that went into making the final product. Including 3d, clean up and compositing. The team at Cadre did a great job to push through so many shots.

On Set Supervision

The shoot involved a lot of pre-prep and planning but still required on the spot decision making to deal with surprises and changes. It was a large production that came together nicely after a lot of hard work from all involved across various departments and skill sets.
